Raph Bruhwiler is legitimately one of the leaders of Canadian surfing and has been surfing waves in the north since he was just a kid growing up on the beach with the rest of the Bruhwiler family in Tofino B.C. For his part in this years Innersection he and filmmaker Adam Dewolfe teamed up and decided to try to show another side to the Raph Bruwhiler most know. Leave the boat at the dock and go hunting, something Raph does as much as possible when hunting season is open on Vancouver Island and the waves are not all that great. They tried to go as organic as possible with this edit, Raph even hand carved his name into a peice of wood to use as a tittle, using a carving method he was taught as a kid. Raph has also been working with a local cedar (wood) surfboard builder from Vancouver Island Randy Weflen of Wefi Surfboards that they wanted to highlight also in their part. Randy has been making boards for Raph to test pilot and has been really pushing the boundries of what wood boards traditionally could do.
It is important to mention also that Raph hunts for food for his family not for sport.
