Tomorrow will be held the Third edition of the Banana Sundae, a river surf contest in Montreal, Quebec. The contest is organized only by the true passion of local rippers and is not supported financially by any major sponsor. The sponsors gave prizes to the participants and winners receive a small cash price corresponding to amount of the entry fees that the surfers pay to be part of the contest.
Let's say that this contest is probably as grassroots as it can get! The format is always to gather all the locals surfers and push the limit of surfing the endless waves that the St-Lawrence river has to offer. Say thanks to his founder Martin Guay and his partner in crime, and gotsurf's member, Olivier Barrette.
