Everything we buy... has environmental consequences. Most of us forget that fact: Consumption of anything has an impact. Just accept it. The only way we can control and minimize our impact is to acknowledge the process and try to make wiser choices in our consumption habits. This is, unfortunately, including the sushi industry. I know, I know, you probably screaming:
“shut-up, it's my favourite thing to eat in the world!! Just don't tell me!!!"
Well, the bad news is whatever you think about sushi is B/S. The good news is that we're not saying that you shouldn't eat fish at all. We simply believe that if you care about our oceans, you should watch these videos and learn how you can eat your favorite seafood sustainably.
Where can you get sustainable sushi? Well there is an handful of restaurants across the country who serve it. But really, the only way to do it is to download this PDF GUIDE HERE or to the FREE MOBILE APP HERE. Then check on the menu and do not hesitate to ask your server for more details.
Both guides are from the canadian organization seachoice.org where you can also find retailers and restaurants where you can buy smart sustainables seafood.
sustainablesushi.net is also a very good resource.
