From Chris Hannant:
"There were two promising storms on the way, so when Dana called me up I knew it had to be about trying to score some footage from the incoming swell. I wasn't however, expecting to hear "Let's go to Nova Scotia." As ridiculous as it sounded I knew he was serious, and I'm pretty sure he knew I'd be more than stoked to take a 1,300-mile road trip to maybe get some good waves. That's probably why he called me.
We blew off work, stocked our iPods, and set out onto what would be 36 hours on the road with a few stops to get skunked at breaks in Rhode Island and Maine, and four hours straight in standstill traffic at the border of New York and Connecticut. Meanwhile reports were coming in that home was epic - but we didn't care. We could surf home anytime. Besides, it wasn't just about surfing; it was about adventure and exploration, meeting new people, and discovering new places. When you consider all that, we definitely scored harder than anyone who stayed home."
