 Norm Hann has been teaching, guiding, and living passionately on the coast of British Columbia for the past 12 years where the ocean, rainforest and people have provided energy and inspiration. 

Last May Norm paddled the proposed North Coast Oil Tanker Route through the Great Bear Rainforest and the traditional harvesting lands of the Coastal First Nations on his Surftech standup paddleboard.  Paddling and documenting the people and places that are at risk along the way.  

The goal of this expedition is to bring awareness to the proposed Enbridge oil pipeline and tanker traffic and its potentially devastating effects to the traditional food harvesting areas of First Nations and wildlife of the Great Bear Rainforest.

 This film is powerfull and gives us a better view of the villagers that have the most to loose. Everything.

2011 was  a great year for us at gotsurf. We started to get our feet wet lets say.

Thank you to all our supporters who check out the site and are interested in Canadas growing surf culture. 2012 has begun and we are on the road hunting for waves . New swells call ,the batteries are charged, So many more great things to come from us, but lets look back at the year and some of our favorite and most viewed videos...
